Date for your diaries! ECFC is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025 between 2nd and 9th December 2025. We’re trying to raise £31,500 to fix our leaking roof and insulate it from the cold. This will ensure we can be a welcoming place for our community, including our refugee community, for many years to come. New windows, doors, cladding & cavity wall insulation, Summer 2025 – We did it!
Over summer 2025 we successfully completed major building work costing over £255,000 providing us with fabulous new windows, doors, cladding and cavity wall insulation. We are really happy with how both the fundraising and work itself has gone. Check out below photos of the poor state of some of the old windows and what a great difference the new ones make. There is currently and exhibition on in the Baraka Cafe sharing the experiences of refugees in Bristol. It is a a collaoration between various groups including Bridges for Communities and the University of Bristol. The Big Give 2024
Between 3 December until 10 December 2024 your donation to Easton Christian Family Centre will be doubled! That means that for every £5 you give to us, we get £10. This will be matched up to £7,000 meaning we could get £14,000. This money will go towards warming up our building and fixing our leaking roof. Our total goal for the building is over a million pounds and we are a quarter of the way there. If you are able to give a gift to ECFC you will helping to keep ECFC a safe and warm place to so many across Bristol. One of our regular members has been in the UK, with his two sons, for five months. Tragically, he lost his wife 3 years ago. This is the reality for so many refugees in Bristol – life is incredibly tough. Families like his spend most of their time during the week sitting in hotels waiting for a government decision on their asylum claim. This is happening for hundreds of people in Bristol.
